Troubleshooting for operation
Phenomenon
Unable to release
the shutter
After loading the
film and closing the
back, " " blinks.

Possible causes
"
" on the LCD is blinking.
Camera is turned off.
" " displayed on the film counter
is blinking.
" " is displayed on the LCD.
The self timer is active.
The camera is in the AEB mode
a n d i s o u t o f t h e e x p o s u r e
interlocking range.
(The shutter speed displayed in
the viewfinder is blinking fast and
the AEB compensation amount
on the LCD is blinking.)
The end of film is not pulled out
FILM TIP
to the
mark. The end
of film is pulled out more than the
FILM TIP
mark.
Countermeasure
Replace the battery.
Turn the main dial to turn the camera
on.
Pull the end of the film out of the
FILM TIP
mark, and load it correctly.
Unload the film and load a new film.
Press the mode button to cancel the
self timer.
Reduce the AEB compensation
amount.
In the aperture AE mode, change
the aperture mode or set the main
dial to " ".
Cancel the AEB mode.
Adjust the film to fit with the
mark and re-load the film correctly.
