Aperture AE Photography

With the aperture AE mode, when the aperture is set, the camera automatically selects the shutter speed
for correct exposure.
The aperture settings and its effects are described below.
Decreasing the numbers in the aperture scale
(opening up the aperture)

E n a b l e s t o d e f o c u s t h e
background and keep only
the subject in focus.
(The depth of field is shallow.)
"Shallow depth of field" means that
the focusing range is narrow.
It is effective for portrait photography.
Increasing the numbers in the aperture scale
(closing the aperture)
Enables focusing a wider
range.
(The depth of field is large.)
"Large depth of field" means that the
focusing range is wide.
It is effective for landscape photography.
