TROUBLESHOOTING

During operation

Problems Possible Causes Solutions
The shutter won't trip.
  1. The battery power is low.
  2. The batteries are not loaded correctly. " " blinks.
  3. You have left your camera for 5 minutes or longer without operating it after turning on the power.
  4. The exposure counter is showing " " sign.
  1. Replace the batteries with new ones.
  2. Load the batteries correctly.
  3. The flash is charging. Wait until " " stops blinking.
  4. Press the POWER button to turn on the power. When " " of the liquid crystal display stops blinking, shooting is possible.
  5. Unload the film pack, and load a new film pack.
The film pack won't load into your camera, or won't load into your camera smoothly.
  1. The film pack is not for your camera.
  2. You are not loading the film pack correctly.
  1. Use Fujifilm Instant Color Film "instax mini" only. (No other films can be used.)
  2. Match the yellow line on the film pack with the yellow positioning mark in your camera.
Power is turned OFF though the shutter release button is pressed.
  • The battery power is low.
  • Replace the batteries with new ones.
Counter (figures or " ") blinks.
  • Trouble occurs in the camera.
  1. Press the POWER button and re-load the batteries.
  2. If there is no improvement although was tried, contact your FUJI-FILM AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR.

Printed pictures

Problems Possible Causes Solutions
The finished print looks over exposed.(White in color)
  1. The lighten-darken control button is set to [LIGHTEN].
  2. The ambient temperature is low (below +5°C).
  3. The background is too dark in comparison with the subject.
  4. The AE light sensor window or flash sensor window is blocked.
  1. Press the lighten-darken control button to set to [NORMAL](no display).
  2. Before taking pictures, place your camera in a warm place. When the picture comes out from your camera, warm it up in your breast pocket.
  3. Press the lighten-darken control button to set to [DARKEN].
  4. Be careful how you hold the camera so that the AE light sensor or flash sensor window is not blocked.
The finished print looks under exposed.(Dark)
  1. The lighten-darken control button is set to [DARKEN].
  2. The ambient temperature is high (above +40°C).
  3. The picture was taken into the light.
  4. The flash lamp face, AE light sensor window, or flash sensor window was blocked by your finger or the camera strap.
  5. The background is too bright in comparison with the subject.
  6. The flash light did not reach the subject.
  7. The flash light reflected back from a mirror or window glass entered your camera.
  1. Press the lighten-darken control button to set to [NORMAL](no display).
  2. Keep camera, film (exposed prints) away from excessive high (+40°C).
  3. Take pictures with the light behind you, or take pictures using Fill-in Flash Mode.
  4. When holding your camera, be careful not to block the flash lamp face, AE light sensor, or flash sensor with your finger or the camera strap.
  5. Press the lighten-darken control button to set to [LIGHTEN].
  6. Take pictures within 0.5 to 2.5m from the subject.
  7. Take pictures obliquely against the mirror or window glass.
The picture is out of focus.
  1. The shooting range is too close to the subject.
  2. The subject is not properly in focus.
  3. The lens is not clean.
  4. Your camera was shaken when taking piztures.
  1. Take pictures with a distance of at least 0.5m between you and your subject.
  2. Do not stand to close to your subject.
  3. Please contact a FUJIFILM authorized distributor.
  4. Hold your camera firmly and press in the shutter release button gently. Since slow shutter is selected when shooting indoors and dark outdoors in the Fill-in Flash Mode, fixing the camera using a table, wall, etc. is recommended. When the camera is not fixed, take pictures in the auto mode.
The picture is blurred.
  1. A pressure was applied to the picture immediately after coming out from the camera.
  2. The picture did not come out smoothly.
  1. Do not press onto or fold the picture.
  2. Do not block the film exit with your finger.
The subject in the viewfinder has shifted in finished print.
  • The shooting range is too close to the subject.
  • Take pictures with a distance of at least 0.5m between you and your subject.
