Uneven color occurs
(1) Symptom
When the 2nd side of the small size thick paper (ex. Postcard) is printed, uneven density
occurs on 2 or more color mixed part.

(2) Cause
The transfer current in the paper feed area becomes insufficient because too much electric
current flows to outside of the paper feed area. The lower the 2
the more the electric current flows outside of paper area.
Conditions to lowering the resistance of the roller

Not smooth surface paper

Small size paper (ex. Postcard)

Thick paper

High temperature

High humidity

Temperature increase due to ambient temperature and/or due to continuous printing

The 2nd transfer roller is at the early stage of the life; The count does not reach around the
one third of the TC.
