Engine Fault Codes

How to Retrieve Engine Fault
Codes
When the engine Electronic Control Module (ECM)
detects an abnormal operating condition, a fault
code is immediately stored in the ECM memory. At
the same time, a colored warning lamp is
illuminated.

To view the fault code, push and hold the
diagnostic button for 5 seconds. The fault code will
be displayed on the screen, if present. If more than
one code is present, quickly push the diagnostic
button to cycle through the codes. Push and hold
the diagnostic button for 5 seconds to return to the
operation screen.
