6. Once you find the allen head, use the enclosed wrench to loosen the al-
len screw a turn or two (just to loosen, NOT to remove the encoder).
7. Unplug encoder harness ENC.
8. Use small screwdriver to separate main body cover of encoder from
encoder mounting backing. Do not remove backing plate because it is
placed by the factory in a precise position.

NOTE: When replacing, place (snap on) new encoder on mounting back-
ing. Tighten allen screw with wrench, but do NOT overtighten. Turn en-
coder disc lock screw clockwise from one-dot stop to two-dot stop to lock.
9. Release the belt tension by loosening the idler pulley, then retighten.
10. Remove three screws, e-clip, and nylon washers from triangular metal
mounting plate. Remove plate.
11. Walk belt off.
