actual multicast suppression threshold value on an Ethernet interface, use the display interface
command.
When the pps or kbps keyword is not specified, or the suppression granularity is set to 1, the value
of the pps or kbps keyword must be no smaller than 1, and the multicast suppression threshold value
is the one that actually takes effect on the Ethernet interface.
Usage guidelines
In Ethernet interface view, the configurations take effect only on the interface. In port group view, the
configurations take effect on all ports in the port group.
When the received multicast traffic exceeds the threshold, the system discards multicast packets until
multicast traffic drops below the threshold.
If you set different multicast suppression thresholds in Ethernet interface view or port group view multiple
times, the one configured last takes effect.
For a particular type of traffic, configure either storm suppression or storm control, but not both. If both of
them are configured, you might fail to achieve the expected storm control effect.
