Note
This guide provides information for system administrators who want to
deploy the Polycom VVX 1500 D Business Media Phone in an H.323
environment. It also describes how to upgrade the phone's software when it is
connected in an H.323 environment. The phone must be running SIP
application 3.2.2 (phone software) or later. To provision the VVX 1500 D phone
using a Polycom® Converged Management Application™ (CMA™) system,
the phone must be running Polycom® UC Software 3.3.0 or later.

Setting up the Polycom VVX 1500 D phone in one of two ways:

To provisioning the VVX 1500 D phone using a Polycom CMA system, you must
update the phone's software to Polycom UC Software 3.3.0 before adding the
phone to the list of endpoints provisioned by Polycom CMA.
In future, software upgrades can be provided by the Polycom CMA system itself.
The Polycom CMA system requires that the management application be installed
on the same network as your VVX 1500 D phones are connected.
