This chapter describes how to connect the DES-3250TG to
your Ethernet/Fast Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet network. The
Switch's auto-detection feature allows all 48 10/100 ports to
support both MDI-II and MDI-X connections.

Switch to End Node

End nodes include PCs outfitted with a 10, 100, or 10/100
Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet/Fast Ethernet Network Interface Card
(NIC) and most routers.
An end node can be connected to the Switch via a two-pair
Category 3, 4, or 5 UTP/STP cable. The end node should be
connected to any of the ports (1x - 48x) on the switch.
