replace the 802.1p value (in a packet that
meets the selected criteria). In this way,
packets meeting the criteria can have their
priority handling modified for use within the
switch, and then have a different priority
value assigned when they leave the switch.
Replace Dscp
Select this option to instruct the switch to
replace the DSCP value (in a packet that
meets the selected criteria) with the value
entered in the adjacent field.

PAE Access Entity

The DES-3250TG implements the server-side of the IEEE
802.1x Port-based Network Access Control. This mechanism is
intended to allow only authorized users, or other network
devices, access to network resources by establishing criteria for
each port on the switch that a user or network device must
meet before allowing that port to forward or receive frames.
IEEE 802.1x operation must be enabled on the switch before it
will function. This is done using the 802.1x Status control on
the Switch Information (Advanced Settings) window. 802.1x
settings can be configured before it is enabled switch-wide.
Configure Authenticator
Existing 802.1x port settings are displayed and can be
configured using the window below.
Click Configure Authenticator on the PAE Access Entity
folder on the Configuration menu to open the 802.1X
Authenticator Settings window:
