Removing a standard-form-factor expansion card
Complete this procedure to remove a standard-form-factor expansion card.

1. Read "Safety" on page v and the "Installation guidelines" on page 239.
2. Shut down the operating system, turn off the blade server, and remove the
blade server from the BladeCenter unit. See "Removing the blade server from a
BladeCenter unit" on page 241.
3. Open and remove the blade server cover. See "Removing the blade server
cover" on page 244.
4. Gently pivot the card up and out of the expansion card connector.
5. If you are instructed to return the expansion card, follow all packaging
instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to
you.
