1. Introduction
1.4. About the transmitter
The transmitter measures the analog signal from temperature sensors, or millivolt & ohm value and
transmits a digital output signal proportional to the measured value for direct digital communications with
systems.
The Process Variable (PV) is available for monitoring and alarm purposes. Available PV update rates are
1, 5, 10, 30 seconds and are set on Wireless Builder. Slower update rates extend battery life. Figure 1
shows a block diagram of the XYR 6000 Temperature transmitter's operating functions.
