With careful adjustment of hinges, satisfactory
b o d y l i n e s c a n b e o b t a i n e d .
H i n g e s c a n b e m o v e d o n t h e d o o r p i l l a r i n t h e
following ways.
1 . U p a n d d o w n a f t e r s l a c k e n i n g b o l t s . R e s u l t :
height of door in relation to door ap_erture.
2 . I n a n d o u t a f t e r s l a c k e n i n g b o l t s . R e s u l t :

catch (On pillar) to remove misleading stresses
b e i n g p l a c e d o n t h e d o o r . T h i s p a r t b e i n g r e -
fitted and adjusted so that both stages of the
l o c k a r e w o r k i n g a n d e n s u r i n g d o o r i s n o t
being stressed by excessive tension up or
down, in or out.
A d j u s t t h e d o o r c a t c h t o e n s u r e w h e n t h e d o o r
i s c l o s e d , i t w i l l n o t r i d e u p o r d o w n '
E n s u r e t h e d o o r d o e s n o t c a t c h t h e d o o r p i l l a r ,
w i n g , o t h e r d o o r e t c . , w h e n b o t h a r e o p e n o r
c l o s e d .
Door top half
lf you-have correctly adjusted the bottom half
o f t h b d o o r y o u m a y f i n d t h a t t h e w i n d o w f r a m e
t o p h a l f s t i l l n e e d s a n a d j u s t m e n t .
Here it will be necessary to lower the moving
w i n d o w a n d c a r e f u l l y b e n d t h e f r a m e o f t h e
window to match the frame of the door'
