Bfd Min-Echo-Receive-Interval - HP 7500 Series High Availability Command Reference

Parameters
ip-address: Source IP address of BFD echo packets.
Usage guidelines
Do not configure the source IP address of the BFD echo packets to belong to the same network segment
as any interface address of the device. Otherwise a large amount of ICMP redirect packets may be sent
by the remote device, causing network congestion.
Examples
# Configure the source IP address of echo packets as 10.1.1.1.

bfd min-echo-receive-interval

Use bfd min-echo-receive-interval to configure the minimum interval for receiving BFD echo packets.
Use undo bfd min-echo-receive-interval to restore the default minimum interval for receiving BFD echo
packets.

bfd min-echo-receive-interval value
undo bfd min-echo-receive-interval
Default
For versions earlier than Release 6708 of the HP 7500 Switch Series, the minimum interval for receiving
BFD echo packets is 400 milliseconds.
For Release 6708 and later versions of the HP 7500 Switch Series, the minimum interval for receiving BFD
echo packets is 400 milliseconds in non IRF environment and 1000 milliseconds in IRF environment.

Parameters
value: Minimum interval for receiving BFD echo packets, in milliseconds. The value must be a multiple of
100 for the HP 7500 Switch Series.
For versions earlier than Release 6708 of the HP 7500 Switch Series, the value range for the value

argument is 100 to 1000.
• For Release 6708 and later versions of the HP 7500 Switch Series, the value range for the value
argument is 100 to 1000 in non IRF environment, and 1000 to 10000 in IRF environment.
Examples
# Configure the minimum interval for receiving BFD echo packets on VLAN-interface 1 as 500
milliseconds.
