Drivers and Custom Software
Use the following procedure to install drivers and custom software on your Industrial Box PC.
• For an Industrial PC without Operating System download the drivers from the OMRON download
website.
• For an Industrial PC with a Windows operating system the drivers for most OMRON devices and
common third party devices are already available on the product. They will be installed automatically
after the initial Windows configuration or upon connection of a device to the Box PC.

Install drivers that are required for the application.

Install third-party software that is required for application.
Follow the installation instructions as supplied with the driver or software.
Precautions for Safe Use
Before operating the system, please make sure the appropriate software is installed and config-
ured. Doing so may prevent unexpected operation.

Activate Windows
To activate Windows an internet connection is required.
If an internet connection is not available during the installation proces then the Windows license will
only be active after an internet connection has been established.
Refer to 7-2-2 Remove the Cover on page 7 - 15 for the location of the Windows license key.

Customize Windows
Windows provides customization tools.
Using these tools is only allowed for experienced software engineers.
