connectivity to the switch.
You must ensure that your IP address and subnet mask setting matches the IP address and
subnet mask setting of the network where the switch resides.

Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 4500 series stacking

The Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 4500 Series provides fail-safe stackability. You can
connect up to eight 4500 Series devices in a stack to provide uninterrupted connectivity for up
to 400 ports. You can manage the stack as a single unit.

Stack connector

The stack connector is a component of the Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 4500 Series back
panel and consists of the Unit Select switch, Cascade Down connector, and Cascade Up
connector. The stack connector is illustrated in the
diagram.
