2.2. Points of installation

2.2.1. Capsule
1) Connection box
Connection box is wired the same as current box.
Power line of capsule is 24 voltages line, and power cable is composed with 2 lines of power line and a shield line.
In order to use 100Mbps Ethernet line, LAN cable shall be wired near terminal in twist status.
2) RCU wiring
In order to connect with RJ-45 connector, the connector is attached on ship.
The connector is attached standard in product, but serviceman shall prepare pressure implement for LAN cable.
3) Beacon
Beacon electrode is protected by water pressure sensor.
Beacon protection cover (plastic case) is not necessary.
To measure beacon battery voltage, shall measure voltage by digital tester between beacon electrode and frame after
removing water pressure sensor. (The performance degradation of a water pressure sensor shall be prevented.)
At First installation, voltage measurement is not necessary. But the voltage shall be measured at annual check.
2.2.2. Operation panel unit
1) wiring
Wiring of DC 12V line and RS-485 communication line
2) Installation place
Shall be installed in bridge
The installation is not necessary near VDR main unit.
2.2.3. Microphone unit
1) Wiring
It shall be wired the same as previous model (JCY-1700).
2.2.4. Radar Image
Since FGB unit is option in case of S-VDR, the following option kit shall be installed on ship.
1） CH1 connection

• RGB cable（DSUB15－BNCx5）
• LAN cable
• BNC connector x5（attached insulated ring）
2） CH2 connection
When two radars are connected to VDR, CH2 connection kit shall be added.

• BNC connector x5 （attached insulated ring）
