Preparatory work

Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. (

Remove the shock absorber. (
–
After removing the shock absorber, clean it thoroughly.
Main work
–
Choose and mount a suitable spring.

Finishing work

Install the shock absorber. (

Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (

Check the static sag of the shock absorber. (

Check the riding sag of the shock absorber. (

Adjust the rebound damping of the shock absorber. (
Preparatory work

Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. (
Main work
–
Remove screw
without blocking the rear wheel. Fix the rear wheel in this position.

Remove screw

Info
The heim joint for the shock absorber at the swing arm is Teflon coated.
It must not be lubricated with grease or with other lubricants. Lubricants
dissolve the Teflon coating, thereby drastically reducing the service life.
