Cleaning the neutralizing system and trap

WARNING: Risk to life through escaping
flue gases!
Flue gas can escape into the building
through a dry siphon or leaking condensate
connections.
B Check the liquid level in the siphon on a
regular basis and add water as necessary.
B When installing the siphon, make sure that
the gaskets are seated properly.
B Ensure that fittings do not leak.
WARNING: Risk of injury from acid burns!
The condensate in the condensate tank and
siphon can have a pH value of 2.
B Always wear suitable clothing and
protective goggles as well as gloves when
cleaning.
Cleaning the neutralizing system
Refer to separate instructions for neutralizing
system maintenance.
B Undo the condensate hoses on the siphon [1].
B Loosen the fitting at the connector on the condensate
pan [2] and remove siphon [1].
B Remove condensate residues and deposits; detach
flue gas connector if necessary.
B Place a collection vessel under the connector on the
condensate pan.
B Flush the condensate pan (wet cleaning) through the
heat exchanger system (Chapter 8.4 page 40).
