To restore the default settings of the timers, HP recommends restoring the Join timer first, followed by
the Leave and LeaveAll timers.

Enabling GVRP compatibility

Perform this task to enable GVRP compatibility for MVRP when the peer device supports GVRP, so that the
local end can receive and send both MVRP and GVRP packets. For more information about GVRP, see
relevant protocols and standards.
GVRP compatibility enables MVRP to work with STP or RSTP, but not MSTP. When MVRP with GVRP
compatibility enabled works with MSTP, the network might operate incorrectly.
Disable the Period timer when you enable GVRP compatibility for MVRP. Otherwise, the VLAN status
might frequently change when the system is busy.
To enable GVRP compatibility:
Step

Enter system view.
2.
Enable GVRP
compatibility.

Displaying and maintaining MVRP

Execute display commands in any view and the reset mvrp statistics command in user view.
Task
Display MVRP running status.
Display the MVRP state of a port in a
VLAN.
Display MVRP statistics.
Clear the MVRP statistics of specified
ports.
