4.3 Inserting the SIEMENS PC system and runtime
Procedure
To add a SIEMENS PC system and WinCC RT Advanced Runtime, follow these steps:
1. Click "Add new device" in the project tree and click on the "PC systems" button.

All available PC systems are displayed in the folder structure.
2. Under "SINUMERIK Operator Components > PCU", select an operator component (e.g.
"PCU 50.5"), assign a device name (e.g., "PCU_1"), then confirm with "OK".
The device is added, and the device view opens.
3. In the hardware catalog, select the runtime software from "SIMATIC HMI application >
WinCC RT Advanced", change the version in the "Information" section, if needed, and
drag it to a free slot of the device in the device view.
