Hicom 150 E Office Rel.1.0 Service Manual - 3.3 Peripheral boards

3.3.13 TS2

Introduction
The TS2 board (trunk module S2M) for OfficeCom allows you to connect the system to an NT1
(network transfer point) via a symmetrical line (4-wire twisted-pair cable) or a coaxial line (BNC
sockets X3 and X4) for the simultaneous transfer of up to 30 B channels (voice channels).
The total transmission speed including signalling and synchronisation is 2,048 Mbit/s.
Only one TS2 board allowed (a primary multiplex access)
For slots 6, 7, 8, or 9 only (EXTEB board required)
The max. cable length depends on the quality of the cable type used and its signal attenuation
(max. 6 dB).
Use shielded cables only to guarantee problem-free operation.
Interfaces

The 120 ohm-variant is preset in the factory (jumper setting, see table). The shielded cable is
connected to the X2 connector via an 8-speed Wieland terminal.
