Memory Transmissions

There are two ways to send documents with this machine.
FOR DETAILS
The FK-102 is initially set up for memory transmission. You can change the setting to select
quick memory transmission. To change settings, see "Transmission/Reception Mode
Options" (p. 10-22)
Memory Transmission
In this transmission method, all pages being sent are first scanned and stored in memory
before transmission. The document is automatically numbered by total page number, and
the images on the first page are shown on communication results report.
However, when a large number of pages are sent or when the images on the originals are
fine, memory capacity may be exceeded due to the large amount of data stored in mem-
ory.
HINTS
The machine is automatically set to Memory Tx when any of the following procedures is per-
formed.
Memory Tx set on the FAX Application screen.
SCAN has been pressed on the FAX Basic screen.
When functions, such as 2 in 1 Tx, Book Tx, Frame erase Tx, Original size select,
Mixed size original in Original setting, Polled Tx and Timer Tx are set on the FAX Appli-
cation.
Multiple remote stations have been designated.
Documents are reserved to be transmitted.
Quick Memory Transmission
In this transmission method, a facsimile is sent as soon as one page is scanned. This
allows documents to be sent without exceeding memory capacity in the case of sending a
large number of pages.
