0 = Default; no change.
1 = Three steps softer than nominal.
2 = Off; inaudible.
3 = One level softer than nominal.
4 = Two steps softer than nominal.
5 = Four steps softer than nominal.
6 = Five steps softer than nominal.
7 = Six steps softer than nominal.
8 = One step louder than nominal.
9 = Two steps louder than nominal.
