TROUBLESHOOTING (Cont.)
SYMPTOM
The flash does not fire.
POSSIBLE CAUSES

The flash is pushed
down.

The subject is lighted.

The drive mode is set to

Panorama recording is
taking place.

The Picture effect is set
to WHITE BOARD/
BLACK BOARD.
SYMPTOM
Pictures you have already taken do not appear on the monitor.
POSSIBLE CAUSES

The camera is in the
Record Mode.

There is no picture in the
card.

There is a problem with
the card.

The camera is
connected to a TV.

The viewfinder is on but
there is no display.
SYMPTOM
The viewfinder display is not clear.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
1
The diopter is not
adjusted properly.

The brightness is not
adjusted properly.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
1
Slide the Flash switch to raise
the flash.

Set the flash to Fill-In mode.
3
Press the DRIVE button to set
to the single-picture mode.
4
Stop Panorama recording.
5
The flash does not fire in the
WHITE BOARD/BLACK
BOARD mode.
CORRECTIVE ACTION

Set the Mode dial to

NO PICTURE appears on the
monitor. Record pictures.

See the Error code chart.

The monitor does not function
when the camera is
connected to a TV.

to switch to the
monitor.
CORRECTIVE ACTION

Adjust the diopter again.

Adjust the brightness. It is
