Here's what to do...
There is a hardware problem. If you added hardware,
remove it and restart the computer to see if the
problem is corrected. If the problem is corrected, you
may have installed your hardware incorrectly. Reinstall
your hardware.
• If you installed memory modules or adapter cards,
make sure you installed them correctly.
• If you did not install memory modules or adapter
cards, see "HelpWare support and services" on
page 79 for information on obtaining service.
1 Press Esc to turn off the Non-Maskable Interrupt
(NMI) and proceed to boot the system.
2 Press any other key to reboot the system.
For information on the Setup Utility options, see the
Aptiva online help.
Load the Setup default settings and reboot the
system. For more information on using the Setup
Utility, see "Using the Setup Utility" on page 71.
If you changed your processor, this is expected;
otherwise, load the default settings in Setup. For
more information on using the Setup Utility, see
"Using the Setup Utility" on page 71.
If any of these problems continue after taking the actions
listed, run the diagnostics programs that came with your
computer. If you need service, see "HelpWare support and
services" on page 79.
