gency-locking retrnctor A and
slides into guide B which
keeps it into the correct
position and, besides provid-
ing for ur:;oer torso restraint. It
continues up to anchorage
point D thus furnishing also
pelvis restraint. The emergen-
cy-locking retractor permits
ample freedom of occupant
movement under driving con-
ditions though providing the
necessary restraint in case of
abrupt brake application or in
the event of a collision.
