Contacts and Settings
"Secondary DNS Server (IPv6)": Enter the IPv6
address of the secondary DNS server for IPv6.
Note
For the input format for "Primary DNS
Server (IPv6)" and "Secondary DNS
Server (IPv6)", refer to Page 43.

If the settings for IPv6 are changed: Press [G].
A dialogue box to confirm the saving of settings
is displayed. Save the settings.
To set LAN2: Press [R].
The second page is displayed.
Making LAN2 Settings (KX-VC1600 only)

Use [

] to select the following items for input:
"LAN 2": select "ON" or "OFF" (default) for LAN2.
"IP Address (LAN 2)": Input the IP address for
LAN2.
"Subnet mask (LAN 2)": Input the subnet mask for
LAN2.
Note
If the value for "IP Address (LAN 2)" or
"Subnet mask (LAN 2)" contains 1 or 2
digit numbers, enter these numbers as they
are. Do not enter like [.001].
Example: The IP address is [192.168.0.1].
Correct entry: [192.168.0.1]
Wrong entry: [192.168.000.001]
"IPv6 (LAN 2)": Select "ON" or "OFF" (default).
"IPv6 Address (LAN 2)": Enter the LAN2 IPv6
address.
"Prefix length (LAN 2)": Enter the prefix length of
the IPv6 address.
Note
When "IPv6 (LAN 1)" is set to "OFF" and
"IPv6 (LAN 2)" is set to "ON", to use the
host name to set "SIP Server Address" of
"SIP Settings" or "Gatekeeper Address"
of "H.323 Settings", set "Primary DNS
Server (IPv6)" and "Secondary DNS
Server (IPv6)" in step 4. Then, in steps 7–
12, set routing for communication with the
DNS server.
For the input format for "IPv6 Address
(LAN 2)", refer to Page 43.
For "IPv6 Address (LAN 2)", set your
network's global address.
If "ON" is not set for "LAN 2", "Routing
Settings" will not be displayed. Once "LAN
2" is set to "ON", press [G] to save the

settings and close the setting screen. Then,
select "Network Settings" and set the
routing.
Routing settings for LAN2 (KX-VC1600 only)

] to select "Routing Settings" and
press [ENTER].
The routing list screen is displayed.

] to select ""Not Registered"".

Press [B].
The routing settings screen is displayed.

Use [

] to select the following items for input:
"IP Address Format": Specifies whether an IPv4
address or IPv6 address will be used.
"Destination": Input the IP address of the other
party to communicate with using LAN2.
"Subnet mask": Input the subnet mask of the other
party to communicate with using LAN2.
"Prefix length": Enter the prefix length for the IPv6
address of the other party communicating using
LAN2.
"Gateway": Input the gateway address for
communication with other parties that have been
set.
Note
"Subnet mask" can only be set when
"IPv4" is set for "IP Address Format".
"Prefix length" can only be set when
"IPv6" is set for "IP Address Format".
If "IPv4" is set for "IP Address Format",
and "Destination", "Subnet mask", or
"Gateway" contains 1 or 2 digit numbers,
enter these numbers as they are. Do not
enter like [.001].
Example: The IP address is [192.168.0.1].
Correct entry: [192.168.0.1]
Wrong entry: [192.168.000.001]
For the input format for "Destination" and
"Gateway" when "IPv6" is set for "IP
Address Format", refer to Page 43.

Press [G].

The routing list screen is displayed.
