Administrative Checklist

Use the following checklist as a guide to system and LAN administrator responsibilities. This high-level
list helps ensure that all deskphone system prerequisites and requirements are met prior to deskphone
installation.
Note:
One person might function as both the system administrator and the LAN administrator

Verify that the call server is
licensed and is administered for
Voice over IP (VoIP).
Verify the individual
deskphones are administered
as desired.
Install a DHCP application on at
least one new or existing PC on
the LAN.
Add IP deskphone
administration to DHCP
application.
Install an HTTP/HTTPS
application on at least one new
or existing PC on the LAN.
Download the files from the
Avaya support site.
Edit the settings file as desired,
using your own tools or the
[Avaya] Web configuration tool.
