Printer Engine Service Mode

SP8XXX: Data Log 2

The SPs in this group are prefixed with a letter that indicates the mode of operation. The
mode of operation is referred to as an 'application'. Before reading the Group 8 Service
Tables, make sure that you understand what these prefixes mean.

Group 8 SP codes are limited to 17 characters, forced by the necessity of displaying them
on the small LCDs of printers and faxes that also use these SPs.
All of the Group 8 SPs are reset with SP5 801 1 Memory All Clear.

When the A3/DLT double count function is switched on with SP5104, 1 A3/DLT page is
counted as 2.
When several documents are merged for a print job, the number of pages stored are
counted for the application that stored them.
These counters are used primarily to calculate charges on use of the machine, so the
following pages are not counted as printed pages:
Blank pages in a duplex printing job.
M001
What It Means
Grand total of the items counted for all applications (C, F,
P, etc.).
Totals (pages, jobs, etc.) executed for each application
when the job was not stored on the document server.
Other applications (external network applications, etc.).
Refers to network applications such as Web Image
Monitor. Utilities developed with the SDK (Software
Development Kit) are also counted.
These SPs count the number of pages printed by the customer.
The counter for the application used for storing the pages
increments.
