User Guide for the Polycom RealPresence Group Series and the Polycom Touch Control
● For the RealPresence Group 550 systems, press the power switch, located on the back of your
system.
When the system is powered on successfully, the LED on the front panel turns blue.
● On RealPresence Group 300, 500, and 700 systems, touch and hold the
front of the system. Because the power sensor is touch sensitive, you can place your finger on or
close to the sensor.
The Polycom splash screen is displayed within several seconds.
To power on the Polycom Touch Control:
» Reconnect the LAN cable to the underside of the device. The Home button is lit when the device is
powered on.
To power off the RealPresence Group System:
Do one of the following:
● For the RealPresence Group 550 systems, press the power switch located on the back of your
system.
● For the RealPresence Group 300, 500, and 700 systems, touch the power sensor on the front of the
system.
The indicator light changes color and blinks, which means that the system is shutting down. Release
the power sensor when the indicator light changes color.
● To use your remote control to power off RealPresence Group 550 systems, press the Hang Up button
for at least 3 seconds. This feature is supported in system hardware version 2 and higher only.
To power off the Polycom Touch Control:
1 From the Home screen, touch
2 Scroll to Power.
3 Select Touch Control Power.
4 In the menu that appears, select Power Off the Touch Control. If you choose to power off the
Polycom Touch Control, you must disconnect and reconnect the LAN cable to power it on again.
To wake up the Polycom Touch Control:
» The Polycom Touch Control goes to sleep after 2 minutes of inactivity. Touch the screen to wake it up.

Pairing with a RealPresence Group System

Before you make a call using the Polycom Touch Control, you must pair the Touch Control with a
RealPresence Group system. After the devices are successfully paired, the connection persists until you
either disconnect or power off the RealPresence Group system.
