Order Item/components and probable
cause
1 Battery voltage
2 Blown ABS solenoid fuse.
3 Connections
• ABS ECU coupler
4 Open or short circuit in wire harness.
5 Hydraulic unit assembly internal mal-
function.
ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM)
Symptom
Power is not supplied to the solenoid relay.
Check or maintenance job
Recharge or replace the battery.
Refer to "CHECKING AND
CHARGING THE BATTERY" on
page 3-34.
Check the ABS solenoid fuse. If
the ABS solenoid fuse is blown,
replace the fuse and check the
wire harness.
Refer to "CHECKING THE FUS-
ES" on page 3-34.
• Check the coupler for any pins
that may be pulled out.
• Check the locking condition of
the coupler.
• If there is a malfunction, repair it
and connect the coupler se-
curely.
TIP
Turn the main switch to "OFF" be-
fore disconnecting or connecting
a coupler.
• Repair or replace if there is an
open or short circuit.
• Between ABS ECU coupler and
ABS solenoid fuse.

Replace the hydraulic unit as-
sembly.

Reinstatement
confirmation
method
Turn the main
switch to "ON"
and check that
the ABS warn-
ing light comes
on for 2 sec-
onds, then
goes off.
