mating surface with engine oil.
• Finger tighten the crankcase bolts.

"8" is angle controlled; therefore, tighten the
bolts using the following procedure.

a. Tighten the crankcase bolts in the proper
tightening sequence as shown.

30 Nm (3.0 m·kgf, 22 ft·lbf)
b. Loosen and retighten the crankcase bolt "1".

2nd
25 Nm (2.5 m·kgf, 18 ft·lbf)
c. Tighten the crankcase bolt "1" further to reach
the specified angle 80°.
