The grass trimmer is double insulated.When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.

The grass trimmer is double insulated to provide a double thickness of insulation between you and the tool’s electrical system. All exposed metal parts are isolated from the internal metal motor components with protective insulation.

USE THE PROPER EXTENSION CORD.Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw.

Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included • inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.

060-2288-0 | contact us: 1.866.523.5218 ATTACHING GRASS DEFLECTOR • Remove supplied screw (4) with a cross-head screwdriver from the trimmer head. • Fit the grass deflector into the slots on trimmer head. • Turn counterclockwise to lock grass deflector (1) into place (2).

060-2288-0 | contact us: 1.866.523.5218 THE CUTTING LINE A double-wound spool of monofilament cutting line is pre-installed on the grass trimmer. When the cutting line needs replacing, install a new spool. Use YARDWORKS 60-2269-6 replacement spools. To remove the spool: 1.

060-2288-0 | contact us: 1.866.523.5218 To refill the spool if you are unable to purchase a new pre-wound spool, you may purchase 0.065”(1.65 mm) nylon monofilament cutting line and refill the spool that was supplied with your grass trimmer.

060-2288-0 | contact us: 1.866.523.5218 Assembling and adjusting the Auxiliary handle 1. Position auxiliary handle (1) onto the upper portion of the trimmer shaft by sliding over shaft. 2. once auxiliary handle is in the desired position tighten the knob (2) until locked into position.
