Section 17: Balancing the Pizazz

An extremely important step in preparing an aircraft for flight
is ensuring it is properly balanced. Do not neglect this step.
Each individual's Pizazz will not be the same because of the
various combinations of engines that can be used, servos, radio
equipment, type of hardware used, and assembly methods used
during building of the Pizazz. Always check the CG with the fuel
tank empty.
The recommended center of gravity (CG) location for the Pizazz
is 3
1
/
" to 3
3
/
" behind the leading edge of the wing.

• Sharp hobby knife
• Scissors
• Canopy glue (Pacer 560)
• Phillips screwdriver
Step 1. Locate the canopy, mounting screws, and trim tape.
Step 2. Trim the canopy carefully along the lines molded in
the canopy.
Step 3. Attach the canopy to the model using Pacer 560 glue
and secure with 4 small mounting screws.
Step 4. Apply white trim tape to the border of the canopy.
The following control throw recommendations offer positive
response and are a good place to begin setting up the aircraft.
If necessary, move the batteries or add weight or move the bat-
teries to either the nose or the tail until the correct balance is
achieved. Stick-on weights are available at your local hobby
shop and work well for this purpose.
