Turn off the power switch before threading the upper thread. The motor will keep turning even

after the power is switched off as a result of the motor's inertia. Wait until the motor stops fully
before starting work. The machine may operate if the treadle is pressed by mistake, which could
result in injury.
5-6. Adjusting the stitch length
Turn the machine pulley and raise the thread take up
lever

before threading the upper thread. This will
make threading easier and it will prevent the thread
from coming out at the sewing start.
Stitch length can be set by turning the feed regulat-
ing dial

Numeric figures on the dial

show the stitch length
in mm. The desired numeric figure on the dial

should be set at just above, while depressing the
revers lever

slightly.
