The bottom of the material bunches up when sewing in reverse on a Consew 206RB due to a tension imbalance between forward and reverse stitching. The lock stitch looks uneven or "ugly" because the top and bottom tensions are not balanced when switching directions. This issue is made worse by incorrect needle position when going into reverse, and possibly by inconsistent thread feed or tension changes during sewing.
