CUTTING WITH AN EDGE
GUIDE (AVAILABLE
SEPARATELY)

NOTICE: The edge guide can be
used on the left or right side of
the blade.

Remove the battery pack from
the circular
saw before attaching
the edge guide.

Position the edge guide so that
the arm with the ruler side is

Adjust
the edge guide to the
desired
width of cut.
Tighten
the edge-guide
lock knob.
Attach the battery to the saw

When using an edge guide,
position
the face of the edge
guide firmly against
the edge of
the workpiece.
This will help make a true cut without
binding
the blade. The edge of
the workpiece
must be straight
for the cut to be straight.
Use caution
to prevent
the
blade from binding
in the cut (Fig. 19).
MAKING A BEVEL
CUT (Fig. 20)
Your saw can be adjusted to cut
at any angle
between
0 ° and 50 °.
There
is a notch
in the saw
base
to help you
line up the blade
with
the line of cut when
making
45 °
bevel
cuts
(see Cutting
Marks).

Clamp the workpiece
securely
so
that the workpiece
will not move
during
the cut.
