Checking the Fluid Level:
1. Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature.
2. While the engine is at idle, turn the steering wheel left and right
several times.
3. Shut the engine off.
4. The easy grip handle is rotated counterclockwise to remove the
dipstick.
5. Check the fluid level on the "HOT" side of the dipstick. It
should be in the area of "HOT" on the dipstick. This is the normal
range for the dipstick. Do not exceed the full mark.
6. If the fluid level is low, add fluid in small amounts continuously
checking the level until the "FULL" mark is reached.
7. Insert the easy grip handle back in the reservoir and rotate clock-
wise until securely fastened.
Change the hydraulic oil filter every 15,000 miles, or once a year for cel-
lulose element. A synthetic media filter is available, which will extend the
interval to once every five years.
Changing the hydraulic oil filter:
1. Using a 15/16 inch wrench, loosen the center cover bolt.
2. Remove the bolt and cover plate to access the spring and filter.
3. Remove the spring and washer to remove the filter assembly.
4. After replacing the filter assembly, reverse the process to re-
assemble the reservoir.
5. When attaching the cover plate in the rubber cover seal, check
for any damage.
