VSP600 Administrator and Provisioning Manual Network Requirements A switched network topology is recommended for your LAN (using standard 10/100 Ethernet switches that carry traffic at a nominal rate of 100 Mbit/s). The office LAN infrastructure should use Cat.-5/Cat.-5e cable. The VSP600 requires a wired connection to the LAN. However, wireless connections from your LAN to other devices (such as laptops) in your office will not impede performance.
