6. Close the fuse drawer.
7. Reconnect the mains connector.
8. Turn the instrument power on and check for correct operation.
9. Dispose of the removed fuse in accordance with local regulations.

5.4 attaching and Detaching The Carrying strap

1. Refer to Figure 3c.
2. Locate the grips on the sides of the clips on the ends of the carrying strap.
3. Squeeze the grips between the finger and thumb whilst inserting the male portion of the clip into the receptacle attached to the instrument.
4. Push the clip fully into the receptacle until it latches into place.
5. Pull the strap to ensure it is correctly and securely engaged into the receptacle.
6. Repeat the operation with the clip on the other end of the strap.
7. To remove the strap, squeeze the grips on the sides of the clips and withdraw them from the receptacle.
