5.2 Meter fuse Replacement

WaRNING: To avoid electric shock, remove the test leads and power cable before replacing the batteries.
Refer to Figure 3b and use the following procedure to replace the meter fuse(s).
1. Disconnect the test leads from any circuit under test and remove them from the instrument. Turn the ON / OFF switch on the rear panel
to off and remove the mains power lead from the instrument.
2. Use a finger or thumb to release the catch on the accessory compartment and open the cover. Remove any stored accessories.
3. Use a slotted screwdriver or other appropriate tool to release the catch on the fuse cover at the front of the compartment and remove the cover.
Retain the cover.
4. Use a slotted screwdriver or other appropriate tool to gently lever one end of the fuse loose from the fuse-clip and slide the fuse out from the
remaining fuse-clip
5. Fit a new fuse into the fuse-clip of the size and type given in Section 3.1 "General Specifications". Ensure the fuse is centered in the fuse holder.
6. Refit the fuse compartment cover removed in para. 3 above.
7. Replace the accessories removed in para. 2 above.
8. Close the accessory compartment cover.
9. Turn the instrument on and check for correct operation.
10. Dispose of the removed fuse(s) in accordance with local regulations.

5.3 Mains fuse Replacement

WaRNING: To avoid electric shock, remove the test leads and power cable before replacing the batteries.
1. Disconnect the test leads from any circuit under test and remove them from the instrument. Turn the ON / OFF switch on the rear panel to off and
remove the mains power lead from the instrument.
2. Refer to figure 2. Locate the Mains fuse holder on the rear panel.
3. Use a slotted screwdriver to release the fuse drawer.
4. Remove the fuse from the fuse drawer.
5. Fit a new fuse of the type given in Section 3.1 "General Specifications".
