4.5 Resistance Measurement

WaRNING: Disconnect the circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before making resistance measurements.
1. Connect the BLACK test lead to the COM terminal and RED test lead to the "VΩHz" terminal.
NoTe: The polarity of the RED test lead is "+".
2. Set the rotary switch to the "Ω" position to measure resistance. Select Ω measurement using the function button.

4.6 audible Continuity Test

WaRNING: Disconnect the circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before testing for continuity.
1. Connect the BLACK test lead to the COM terminal and the RED test lead to the "VΩHz" terminal.
2. Set the rotary switch to "
" position.
3. Connect the test leads across the resistance to be measured. The buzzer will sound if the resistance of the circuit measured is lower than
approximately 50 Ohms.

4.7 Diode Check

 WaRNING: Disconnect the circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before testing a diode.
1. Set the rotary switch to the "" position.
2. Connect the BLACK test lead to "COM" terminal and RED test lead to the "VΩHz " terminal.
NoTe: The polarity of the RED test lead is " +".
3. Connect the test leads across the diode and note the reading.
4. Reverse the connections to the diode and again note the reading.
NoTe: If the diode under test is good, the test in one direction should show a voltage between approximately 0.40V to 0.80V for a silicon device and
the test in the opposite direction should show "OL". A faulty device will show either "000", "OL" or approximately 3.2V or a combination of these
in both directions.
