Reclining Back Seat
Driving with the seatback reclined makes it difficult to see where
you are going and increases the chance of serious injury or death
from collision and tip-over. Do not attempt to drive this vehicle
with seatback reclined.
The optional reclining seat will permit the seatback to recline approximately 45
degrees.
Seatback Adjustment for 17" and 19" Reclining Back Seats - To adjust the
seatback, locate the recline lever, at the lower right hinge area (See Figure 4K
below). Restrain the spring-loaded seatback either with your arm or by sitting in
the chair and resting your back against the seatback.
Move the spring loaded lever counter clockwise by pulling the lever up or pushing
it back, depending on the configuration on your seat, to release the latch and
position the seatback until a comfortable position is reached. Release the lever and
move the lever clockwise to lock in the position.
• The seatback can drop backward when the "recline lever" is not
locked.
• To avoid a fall from the seat, always make sure the "recline
lever" is in the locked position before applying weight to the
seatback or arms.
