Expert and Non-Expert Modes

"Expert" and "Non-Expert" refer ONLY to how information and controls are displayed on the
screen, and not to the number of controls available or their precision.
The default Non-Expert mode (shown in Figure 2-4) devotes the top of the screen to display windows,
while the bottom is reserved for menus and controls. An informational area between these two sec-
tions serve as a "breadcrumbs" display indicating your location in the menu hierarchy. The left and
right arrow buttons allow you to navigate between recently visited controls.

In the Expert mode, all menus and all controls are displayed on the screen simultaneously (see Figure
2-6). Since this mode inherently makes menus, controls, and their labels smaller, it works best when
the remote software window can be large enough to spread things out. Everything is visible at once in
Expert mode, so you have direct access to all menus and controls without having to step through the
menu structure sequentially.
