Load the document for reading.
Fan the sheets before setting the

document on the hopper table.
NOTE
Hold both ends and bend the
documents into an arch. Then
hold tightly and straighten
them. The center of documents
swells and air is introduced
between the documents.

• Remove paper clips and staples. Flatten

the hole with your finger.
• Load documents face-up.
• Load documents lower
than the line mark.
• Use the extension for long documents.
• Do not mix different width documents.
