The answering machine

Ring delay

Select the duration of rings before your
answering machine picks up the call. Choose
from 2-9 rings or Toll Saver.
If Toll Saver is selected, then:
• If you have new messages your phone
answers after 2 rings.
• If there are no new messages it will answer
after 6 rings. So you have the option to
hang up, saving the time and cost of a call.
• If the memory is full, it will answer after 20
rings in Answer Only mode.

Remote access

Remote access allows you to operate your
answering machine and listen to your
messages by calling your Telstra Colombo
from another phone.
The default setting is ON.
1. Call your Telstra Colombo. When you hear
your outgoing message, press
.
2. Enter your 4 digit PIN. The default code is
0000. You will hear a confirmation beep.
NOTE Change this code for increased security. See the
section headed 'PIN'.
The answering machine
3. After entering your PIN as stated above,
use the keypad to operate your Telstra
Colombo answering machine:
Play messages
Play previous message
Play next message
Delete message playing
Switch answer machine on
Stop playback
Switch answering machine off
NOTE When the answering machine is switched off it
will still answer after 20 rings.
