6. Unlock the drive by turning the carrier latch 90 degrees clockwise to the open
position.

7. Disconnect the drive from the connector on the backplane by grasping the handle
on the drive carrier and carefully pulling the drive out of the server.
Attention: Do not open the drive; no user adjustments or serviceable parts are
inside.
8. Place the hot-swap disk drive in a protective container.
9. Replace the disk drive cover that you removed earlier.
10. Close the Input/output Rack door.
