Operation in Water, Mud, Snow, or Ice

Operation in water, mud, snow, or ice decreases
power unit traction and increases the potential for
unexpected difficulties or loss of control. Reduce
speed and exercise caution.
Operation on frozen bodies of water can be
dangerous. The machine could fall through the ice
and cause the operator to drown. Never operate
on ice unless you have verified the thickness of
the ice and that the travel path is safe.
Operation in water may cause damage to the
30º
hydraulic system, axles, or other parts. If the water
25º
level reaches the tire rim, the water is too deep.

Towing Or Pushing The Power Unit

Avoid damage to your power unit! Before tow-
ing, read and understand the information below.
Severe damage will occur to unit if proper tow-
ing procedure is not followed.
Failure to place the transaxles in neutral when tow-
ing or pushing the power unit may result in damage
to the power unit drivetrain.
I
f the power unit needs to be moved without the
engine running, it is important to remember to place
the transaxles in neutral by shifting the high/low range
shift handle to the middle of the shift stroke. With the
transaxles in neutral and the parking brake disen-
gaged, the power unit can freewheel. Use extreme
caution when towing or pushing the power unit; steer-
ing may not function. Do not exceed 5 mph (8 km/h).
