Printing a network setup page

If the printer is attached to a network, then print a network setup page to verify the network connection. This page
also provides important information that aids network printing configuration.

From the home screen, navigate to:
> Reports > Network Setup Page

Check the first section of the network setup page, and confirm that the status is Connected.
If the status is Not Connected, then the LAN drop may not be active, or the network cable may be
malfunctioning. Consult a system support person for a solution, and then print another network setup page.

For Windows users

Close all open software programs.

Insert the Software and Documentation CD.
Wait for the Welcome screen to appear.
If the CD does not launch after a minute, then do the following:

Click
, or click Start and then click Run.

In the Start Search or Run box, type D:\setup.exe, where D is the letter of your CD or DVD drive.

Click Recommended Install and then follow the instructions on the computer screen.

For Macintosh users

Close all open software applications.

Insert the Software and Documentation CD, and then double-click the software installer package.

Follow the instructions on the computer screen.
Using the World Wide Web

Go to the Lexmark Web site at www.lexmark.com.

From the Drivers & Downloads menu, click Driver Finder.

Select your printer, and then select your operating system.

Download the driver and then install it.

Updating available options in the printer driver

Once the printer software and any options are installed, it may be necessary to manually add the options in the printer
driver to make them available for print jobs.
